Where do you stand on Croc shoes?
Personally, I think they have some really great styles out, but most of my friends think wearing them is a sin against fashion. What are your croc-views?

I'm sorry friends, I seem to have my "t" days confused. The winner will be announced tomorrow, Tuesday. not in 43 years from now on Thursday. Blech, who can wait that long?!

  1. Where do I stand on Croc shoes? Well normally I would put my foot in they and stand on the inside of them, but I don't think that's what you are looking for!!! I love Crocs my kids all have like 4 pair and I 1 (well they are sketchers Crocs like things, but same idea). They are really comfortable, you can wear them anywhere and they go with pretty much go with anything. Not to mention they are SUPER easy to clean if the kids get them all gross, which kids tend to do. So I guess that's where I stand on Crocs. They are great!

  2. 1.) Really soft, super comfortable, molds to your feet
2.) Barely there, weighing only 6 ounces
3.) Vented so air passes through, keeping feet cool
    4.) Non-marking slip-resistant soles
    5.) Bacteria and odour resistant
    6.) Ultra-hip Italian styling
7.) Port holes allow water and sand to pass through
8.) Can be sterilized in water and bleach
9.) Easy maintenance, just wipe clean
10.) Orthotic molded foot bed for ultimate comfort and support
I stand on them in water, mud, on the beach, shopping, at the zoo, Dinosaur Land, the park. I would even stand on them in Church. I wear them for my own comfort, not what other people think.

  3. The big rave about Crocs is a mystery to me. I have seen my friends wearing some that look atrocious, but they love them! I've also seen some cute ones. The ones for kids I think are the cutest. If I ever tried them, I might like to wear them. Maybe I'll make a point of doing that soon. Patrice Wheaton

  4. Before I got my first pair of Crocs I thought they were ugly and wondered why people who had money would wear plastic shoes. My friend Kade, who is now 6, bought me my first pair for my birthday 2 years ago. He bought them for me so we could play in the river (he already had a pair). I had to wear them the next time he came to see me and to my astonishment I loved them!

  5. I've never owned a pair, or even tried a pair on. To me, fashion=pain; therefore, if crocs are comfy, they can't be very fashionable.

I say unless you are under 8 or a nurse, they are a no-no.

  6. Not for me. But they look cute on kids, even though my boys don't wear them.

  9. I love them. I really truly "I would marry them if I could" love them. They are the most comfortable footwear ever invented. I would wear them 7 days a week if my office would allow it. Yes, I am a 32 year old woman, but quite honestly, fashion is of way less importance than comfort -- I have one pair of heels in my closet, but I seriously don't think they have been worn in at least 4 years. Maybe we can start a movement where everyone wears Crocs with everything, and then I can get away with wearing them all the time, even in business clothes.

  10. Crocs are definetly not for me. I do think that they are cute on children. Adults wearing them are a whole different story in my opinion:)

  11. I like the Mary Jane style, but regular crocs(the original style) don't feel comfortable for me. I like them for gardening, being outdoors, but don't wear them "out and about". However, for my mom they are a lifesaver- she has a issue with her foot and crocs are the only comfortable thing on her feet.

  12. ok so they are ugly as sin but yes I do own them. And Josiah even has a pair of camo crocs. They are comfortable but they part of them being "airy" well I'm just not sure because at the end of the day, we have stinky dirty, sweaty feet. Gross, I know, which reminds me...I need a pedicure. 15. Remember those jelly flip flops you wore when you were 5? Crocs are this generation's jellies. I hated jellies. And I hate crocs.

  16. I think Crocs are comfy...and who cares if they're fashionable or not?! I wouldn't advise wearing them to a gala or wedding....but good grief! Do we need to be dressed in high fashion around the house and to run errands?

They are great for being on your feet all day.
And there are really cute Mary Jane type flats now too ;)

  17. Faun said,
I totally love my Crocs. I had bone spurs on my feet and had so much trouble with chronic foot pain. I had a friend suggest Crocs and lo and behold, they are almost better than sex. Not that sex is bad, but Crocs is definatley the way to go. The old saying. Once you wear Crocs, you never go back..... True Love , Faun + Crocs.

  20. Hmmm...I think most of them are ugly. Not all they do have some cute ones. I don't own a pair but my fiance does. He says they are convenient but not exactly comfortable. I have worn them when I am to lazy to find my own shoes. And while I think they are ugly (we call them his ugly shoes)I wouldn't mind getting my own pair to wear around the house, but I don't think I would have the guts to wear them in public. I bought my youngest son a pair last year on clearance and while they were very convenient and actually kinda cute they kept falling off his feet and I ended up losing one. It wasn't very convenient that everywhere I went I had to stop and backtrack to find his missing croc. My oldest son has a pair and it is a time saver especially when we just need to run out. He takes forever to get his shoes on so in that aspect it is convenient to have them. So, do I be vain and not wear them or do go with the convenient factor? Only time will tell.

  22. Not quite on the adult Croc kick, but I did LOVE them for AJ last year. They really helped him feel so independent! Which I loved too mainly because I was rather large with Coop, and didn't have to bend over to put his shoes on! So, basically I am FOREVER indebted to Crocs! But I'm pretty bummed because I can't find any for either one of my boys this year
    :(

  23. not for me...but for my wife, who i think misspelled her name, they are great...she is a nurse, on her feet all day long making others feel good, so if this durable, light piece of foam makes her piggies happy...i'm all for them, ps reekie if your giving away a cat...and i stand a chance of winning...there are givebacks right????? 24. I’m sure that you are not aware of this, but I’m practically a little person. But you wouldn’t know, because I fake it with heals. I have not wore a pair crocs in my life and I won’t until they come out with a high heal version. - Sam B

  25. Hmmm... I have been on both sides of the croc fan issue. Before I actually got a pair about a year ago I thoguht they were the ugliest things ever but then my feet fell in love with a nice black pair. But there is a time a place and the wrong and the right outfit for them. I would rather see the world in crocs then a bunch of ppl trying to pull off a pair of slippers as "Uggs" they are not Uggs and they never will be so keep your slippers home!
